Hello, I’m Caroline, the Team Manager of the U16s, Year 11 teenagers. If you think your child would be interested in playing Rugby then please email us or call me to find out more.
The Old Ruts philosophy centres on fun, encouragement and participation for all. We value enthusiasm, effort and teamwork much more than outright victory. We welcome all players of any ability and take a thoroughly inclusive approach with all involved.
As a family friendly club we run an active social programme for parents as well as kids, and this includes an end of season tour, cheese and wine tasting evenings, curry nights, quiz nights, BBQs, music festivals and of course bacon sandwiches and burgers available every Sunday morning after training!
As well as home training sessions we have regular friendly matches with other local clubs and we take part in festivals and Waterfall Cup.
Our season runs from September to April with our end of season tour during the first May Bank Holiday weekend.
